The Power of Plants: How Nature Can Improve Your Well-being

Section 1: A Green Escape from stress

Life can be overwhelming sometimes. One thing we all learn from COVID is that we all need a space dedicated for ourselves to relax.  A nice walk around the park, do so hiking on the mountain or simply sitting  on a  blanket at the park, will do wonders to our well-being.

There is vast of research that shows that spending time in nature can reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure, and improve overall mental health. You don’t need a lot of space to have the benefits of nature in your life, play with the space you have: a small balcony, a little corner in the  living room  or simply the window in your kitchen. You will be surprise what the effect of green living being has over our spirit.

Section 2: The Therapeutic Benefits of Gardening

There is something special when you work with plants. Nurturing a plant, seeing it growth before your eyes gives a pause in your day and one way or another, enhance your well-being.

When you engage in gardening, you become fully present in the moment, focusing on the task at hand. This mindfulness helps to alleviate stress and anxiety, allowing you to experience a sense of calm and peace. It also provides a sense of accomplishment when you see your plants thrive and grow.

Section 3: Plants as Natural Mood Boosters

I have I spray bottle next to my  bookshelves where I keep my plants, actually I have more than one. I have the tendency to get a style of tiny water can when I go to my favor garden store nearby.  There is a calm sensation and a way to relax my senses and switch my mood when I water my plants. This can be either using the tiny water can or the misty  spray bottle.  It has a way to reduce my stress level and disconnect for a moment of what my mind might be struggling about.  Studies have shown that being around plants increases feelings of positivity and can even reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.

I could tell you how plants  have the power to purify the air, removing toxins and pollutants, but to be honest, we all know that. To me at this point it’s the basic fact that they look fantastic in my living room and that they are a great excuse to switch my attention from work. It usually sonly take a few 5 to 10 minutes on my time, but seem that new leaf coming out or that one pant will bloom soon, brings a warm feeling to my day. The feeling that I’m doing something good.

Today is a good day to water your plants.

See you all tomorrow,
